Principle

Agnes mechanism diagram

Agnes directly destroys hyperproliferated sebaceous glands

Because acne can't develop without sebaceous glands, they must be destroyed for fundamental treatment.

Because Agnes selectively destroys only sebaceous glands, fundamental acne treatment is possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it help with acne that keeps appearing in the same spot?

Agnes is a procedure in which microneedles are inserted into acne areas to deliver radiofrequency heat to the sebaceous glands. Including recurrent and treatment-resistant acne, we examine current lesions and the condition of the sebaceous glands to decide which areas to treat. Not all breakouts have the same cause, so diagnosis comes first.

How is it different from acne extraction?

While extraction is a process of removing contents from inside the pore, Agnes delivers radiofrequency energy to the sebaceous glands. The necessary treatment differs depending on whether it is closed comedonal acne or inflammatory acne. Rather than squeezing or irritating it yourself, please consult us about treatment suited to your current condition.

After one treatment, will acne never come back?

It aims to induce improvement centered on the treated sebaceous glands, but this does not mean it prevents acne from recurring in every area. Remaining lesions and newly forming breakouts must be distinguished to monitor progress. Whether repeat treatment or other care is needed is decided based on the skin's response.

Are acne marks and depressed scars treated at the same time?

Active acne, marks left as pigmentation, and depressed scars have different treatment goals. Agnes is an acne treatment targeting the sebaceous glands, so if scar improvement is the main goal, separate scar treatment may be considered. Please tell us during consultation which symptom you most want to improve.

What should I tell you before treatment?

Please tell us about oral medications and topical acne medications, any recent laser or peeling treatments, and the areas where breakouts recur. Since it is a needle-based procedure, pain and post-treatment skin reactions are also checked during consultation. Please get guidance on when to resume face washing and makeup according to the treatment area and your skin condition.
