What kind of sagging can Ulthera help with?
It is an ultrasound lifting treatment considered when the facial contour has become less defined, or when the cheeks and jawline have sagged and you want to improve firmness. Energy is delivered to the target area while the layers beneath the skin are checked on an ultrasound image. Even with the same jawline concern, the influence of skin laxity, fat and facial structure differs, so we first look at the cause and then decide the treatment area.
Does a higher shot count mean better results?
It is difficult to judge results by shot count alone. The depth, direction and intensity of energy delivery must be decided together according to skin thickness, the degree of sagging and the area to be improved. During consultation, please check not only the total number of shots but also how they will be distributed across each area.
How long does the treatment take, and what anesthesia is used?
It takes about an hour including topical anesthetic cream, and you go home the same day. The pain felt when energy is delivered varies by area and by individual. If you are concerned about pain, please let us know in advance. After checking your health condition, other anesthesia options can be reviewed through a consultation with an anesthesiologist.
Are the lifting results visible right away?
As collagen regenerates, changes may appear gradually over 30–90 days. We do not judge the final result by the appearance right after treatment, but follow the progress. The degree and timing of change depend on skin condition and treatment area.
Can I go to work or keep appointments on the day of treatment?
Since there is no incision or stitch removal, daily activities are usually possible the same day. However, reactions such as bruising or swelling may occur, so if you have an important photo shoot or event, please tell us during consultation. It is best to set the treatment date with recovery in mind.
When is a repeat treatment decided?
Whether to have additional treatment is decided after checking the degree of sagging and the progress from the previous treatment. We do not apply the same number of sessions to everyone. If you have had other lifting or injection treatments, please tell us the treatment name, area and date.
