How is pico toning different from conventional toning?
Pico toning delivers laser energy in extremely short time units to break pigment into fine particles. At Jayjun, the wavelength and treatment area are selected according to the condition of the pigment. The fact that energy is delivered more briefly does not by itself mean the same effect on all pigment.
Are melasma, blemishes and tattoos all treated with the same settings?
The wavelength used and the treatment plan differ according to the type, depth and color of the pigment. Skin pigmentation such as melasma, freckles and age spots must be consulted on separately from tattoos. Please also tell us about any previous laser treatments and how your skin reacted afterward.
Is it a treatment that finishes in one session or never recurs?
Because the causes and depth of pigment differ, it cannot be guaranteed that one session will be enough. The number of sessions and intervals are set while checking the treatment response, and conditions such as melasma require care even after treatment. We look not only at short-term changes but also at factors that can cause pigment to darken again.
What if I am worried about pain or previous toning had little effect?
Please tell us the device used in your previous treatment, the number of sessions, the date of the last session and any uncomfortable reactions. We re-diagnose your current pigment to check whether pico toning is suitable. If you are sensitive to pain, anesthesia options can be discussed based on your health condition and the treatment area.
What is important in pigment care after treatment?
It is best to keep up sun protection and not add skin-irritating care or other lasers on your own. If redness or irritation remains, we check your recovery first. The timing of the next session is adjusted based on the skin's response rather than simply following a fixed date.
