What is considered differently in Ultherapy for men?
We assess the facial bone structure, skin characteristics, and sagging pattern of male patients to determine the treatment area, intensity, number of shots, and direction. We do not apply the same settings simply because a patient is male. We also look at the areas you most want to improve, such as the jawline, sagging cheeks, or nasolabial folds, along with your usual skin condition.
If my jawline has become less defined, is Ultherapy right for me?
A less defined jawline can be caused by skin sagging, fat, muscle, or bone structure. Ultherapy is a lifting treatment that uses ultrasound to deliver energy beneath the skin, so the cause must be identified first. Rather than thinking of it as a treatment that simply slims the face, please consult us about whether you need improvement in sagging.
Can I consult about sagging after facial contouring or double-jaw surgery?
Yes, you can consult us if sagging after surgery is a concern. However, we need to check the type and timing of the surgery and your recovery status before deciding whether treatment is possible and its scope. Please tell us about your surgical history and any current changes in sensation or discomfort.
How is the number of shots decided?
Shots are allocated to each area based on your skin thickness, degree of sagging, and the size of the treatment area. Not only the total number of shots but also depth and direction are important. Telling us the date of and your response to any previous lifting treatment helps us plan for your current condition.
How long does the treatment take, and is it painful?
It takes about 1 hour and is usually performed after applying a topical anesthetic cream. During the treatment, energy is delivered while the layers beneath the skin are checked on an imaging display. If you are worried about pain, other anesthesia options can be reviewed in consultation with an anesthesiologist after checking your health and the treatment scope.
Can I go to work right after the treatment?
No hospital stay or stitch removal is needed, so you can usually resume daily activities the same day. However, individual reactions such as bruising or swelling may occur. If you have a photo shoot or important appointment, please tell us before the treatment and discuss allowing time for recovery.
